Saving your iPhone 4S Battery Life

Are you having trouble due to your iPhone 4S short battery life? You are only not the one: If you visit Apple community, there are thousands of complaints regarding this problem. This is not the first time that Apple is getting complaints over battery issue because in 2010, users complained about this issue when they upgraded their firmware to IOS 4. Same thing happened with IOS 5.
So I want to provide some steps to increase the battery life and its efficiency. These steps are not mandatory, Follow those which you like leaving your dislikes behind.
  • Switch the option "Setting Time Zone" to off. It is not necessary to turn it on unless you are traveling across other countries. Since the bug might be accessing your GPS.
  • Go to "Notification Center" and switch off the notification of unnecessary apps.
  • Decrease Brightness on your iPhone. Go to Settings>Brightness> and decrease brightness.
  • Set your phone to "Auto-lock". So that your device gets lock automatically when not in use. To do this go to Settings>General>Auto-lock>choose 1 Minute.
  • It is good to turn off "Location Service". Apps like Facebook, Shazam, Pandora etc use this service to know where you are. I don't think this is necessary.
  • Turn "Raise To Speak" option to off. This option is available in "About Siri and Privacy" Section. To do this go to Settings>General>Siri>Raise To Speak>Off.
  • Use Fetch, Do not use Push. I mean to say, we do not need to read mail all the time when it reaches to our inbox, until its very urgent. So turning "push" to off will be a wise decision. To do this Go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Fetch new data> Now turn off Push option and select schedule.
  • Close background Apps.
  • You should stop checking WiFi all time, until its necessary.
  •  If none of this work for you, then it would be wise to go to Genius Bar.
