Karla Biddle, now 34, was jailed for seven years in 2009 after she knifed her ex-fiancé's new girlfriend Emma Bradshaw in a frenzied attack the previous year.
The family of Miss Bradshaw condemned the sentence earlier this month when it emerged that Biddle is due to be released from prison this week after serving just two years and eight months inside.
But the latest pictures are sure to pile fresh hurt on the grieving family.
They show a smiling Biddle posing in a pink party dress at a wedding in Co Sligo, Ireland, this September. The killer looks on as other guests enjoy a chocolate fountain.
Biddle has also been photographed grinning while running the Birmingham half marathon and joining a Race For Life charity run.
The prison service is now investigating whether Biddle, from Yardley, Birmingham, breached her licence by attending a wedding in the Irish Republic.
Prisoners are not normally given permission to travel overseas while on licence.
If she has been found to have breached the conditions of her licence she would be sent back to prison to continue serving her sentence.
After seeing photos of the killer at the wedding and running events a Prison Service spokesman said: 'We do not comment on individual prisoners, but if prisoners breach their licence in any way, they will be subject to disciplinary proceedings and are likely to be moved to closed conditions.'
The victim's devastated family said they were 'disgusted' by the photos.
Emma Bradshaw's father Michael, a retired teacher of Sutton Coldfield, was too upset to speak further but a friend of the Bradshaw family said: 'They received a letter from the probation service to inform them of Biddle's release in mid-November.
'They thought she may have been released for the odd weekend, to ''integrate'' her back into the community, but it's disgusting if she has been let out and to enjoy a family wedding abroad.
‘Biddle is an intelligent, conniving, deceitful woman who has not shown any remorse for what she has done to Emma’s family.

'They will never get over losing their wonderful daughter in such a brutal way. Each day is a struggle. They don't feel justice has been done.'

Biddle, dressed in her nightgown, waited for Watson to leave before bursting into his home and attacking Miss Bradshaw with a 9in kitchen knife.
The victim was found bleeding to death in the middle of the road outside Mr Watson's home in Solihull, West Midlands, after she ran out to try to get help from neighbours.
Biddle was jailed for seven years after being convicted of manslaughter in April 2009.
The Prison Service spokesman added: 'Prisoners may be released on temporary licence providing they meet strict criteria and pass a rigorous risk assessment.
'Only those assessed as representing minimal risk of escape or risk of harm to the public are eligible.

'It helps to reduce the chance of re-offending by setting up appropriate employment and rehabilitation work in the community, and maintaining family contact.
'This is essential for successful resettlement and an important factor in protecting the public.'
Mr Watson, who is now in a new relationship, said that he had seen Biddle in Birmingham city centre recently.
He said: 'She was out a few months back, I saw her in town, Birmingham city centre. I don't care if she is out, I have nothing to do with her or her family either.
'That side of my life is finished, done and dusted. It was bad enough at the time.'
